'Jackass' star Steve-O on the stunt that led to 'the most horrific 5 days of my life'
Stephen "Steve-O" Glover prides himself on living a life, mostly, filled with no regrets. But that doesn't mean the Jackass alum looks back on all of his stunts fondly. Steve-O details some of his personal and professional misadventures in his new book A Hard Kick in the Nuts. While speaking with Yahoo Entertainment, the 48-year-old Wildboyz star says it's "a book of wisdom gleaned from a life of terrible decisions." "It's certainly not an exercise in trying to make myself look good and that becomes very clear, very quickly," he quips, but adds, "I'm not big on regrets." The entertainer continues: "There's all kinds of stuff I regret having done in my personal life where I did harm, but in my professional life, whenever I've done harm to myself physically, that's generally translated to great footage and a great story." Fans got to know Steve-O in the early aughts as one of the men of MTV's Jackass, the reality show where he and pals Johnny Knoxville, Bam Margera and others did absurd and dangerous stunts and pranks. But in 2017, the comedian did a stunt that made his Jackass days look tame: he laid down in rocket fuel to make snow angels, or rather, "fire angels."

Johnny Depp returns to spotlight with surprise cameo at 2022 MTV VMAs
The 2022 MTV Video Music Awards featured some big stars Sunday night, including a bizarre cameo by actor Johnny Depp. While rumors about a potential appearance by the Pirates of the Caribbean star had circulated, there was skepticism as Depp had been out of the spotlight since his recent defamation trial with ex-wife Amber Heard over accusations of abuse. Depp’s face appeared on a digital astronaut about eight minutes into the show. “Hey, you know what?” Depp rhetorically asked. “I needed the work.” “ He appeared later to transition the show from a commercial break saying, “Hey, VMAs. Let's get back to the music, shall we?” His third and final appearance came about 75 minutes into the award show. “I want you guys to know that I'm available for birthdays, bar mitzvahs, weeks, any old thing you need,” said Depp, adding ““Oh, I’m also a dentist.” Many viewers were excited about Depp’s appearance, while others were not quite as thrilled by the alleged abuser’s cameo. And while the moment was billed as the actor’s big comeback, it seemed to confuse as many viewers as it inspired.
Nicki Minaj's emotional MTV VMAs speech: 'I wish that people took mental health seriously'
During the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards Sunday night, rapper Nicki Minaj took the stage with some of her greatest hits before accepting the Video Vanguard award, where she thanked those who inspired her and those who have given her huge opportunities. "I want to take a second to just say thank you to all of the key people that inspired me and who I think inspired my flow. Lil Wayne, Foxy Brown, Lauryn Hill, Jay-Z, Slick RIck, Doug E. Fresh. And then I wrote people who gave me huge opportunities that I'll never forget – Kanye West, Beyoncé, Madonna, Mariah Carey, Eminem, Britney Spears, Rihanna." And Minaj also credited those are no longer with us like rappers Pop Smoke, Juice WRLD and Nipsey Hussle. "I wrote this down, I don't know why y'all, but this was in my spirit to say: I wish that Whitney Houston and Michael Jackson were here. I wish that people understood what they meant and what they were going through. I wish people took mental health seriously, even for the people who you think have perfect lives," said Minaj. Minaj has previously opened up about her own mental health struggles, even revealing in 2011 to Cosmopolitan that she had become so depressed while trying to break into the industry, she had suicidal thoughts. The rapper took a brief hiatus after her 2018 album Queen, which she has since said was much needed as it affected her mental health for the good. And on a lighter note, while Minaj did spend time during her speech mentioning people who aren't here today, she did mention a very important someone who is. Minaj shared, "Listen, I have a new baby, his name is Papa Bear. Papa Bear, I love you so much. Mommy loves you so so so so so much!"
